Hambleton Farms are an independent, owner-run, retail food business. Our business has grown significantly over the last 18 years, we have become a multi-award-winning operation, with an enthusiastic and dedicated team of employees, working across 3 retail locations. Our 3 retail shops are based at some of the best Garden Centres and Farm shops in the Midlands.
Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a highly motivated Butchery Assistant to join the established team of Butchers, Butchery Assistants and Deli Assistants at our location in the food hall at Beckworth Emporium in Mears Ashby. This role is a new role within the team, created to afford the skilled butchers more time to practice their craft – with the postholder taking greater responsibility for serving customers and assisting with the production of the added value range.
As a Retail Assistant at Hambleton Farms you will:
• Work with the Butchery and Deli teams to set the store up on a daily basis.
• Assist in making our seasonal range of ‘meal solutions’.
• Deliver an outstanding experience to all customers.
• Ensure self-serve displays in chillers are attractive and shoppable
• Practice necessary due diligence – health and safety, food safety etc.
• Stock control
At Hambleton Farms, we’re looking for a Retail Assistant with the following attributes:
• A passion for food
• Excellent customer service and sales skills
• Good communication skills at all levels
• Honest, reliable and dedicated
• Previous experience in a Retail, Counter Assistant, Customer Service, Retail Assistant, Cook or Chef role.
This is a full-time role working 30-40hours per week: (30-minute lunch) with 1 day off at the weekend. (Contracted hours to suit your needs.)
In return for meeting the above criteria the successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate in the region of £8.60-£12.41 an hour (remuneration dependant on skills and experience). As well as this you will be part of the staff in-store discount scheme, company pension scheme and Death in service insurance scheme.
Uniform and full training provided.
